The bedrock of meaningful development in any society or community has been identified and established as the conscious and passionate appreciation and respect for prevalent cultural trajectory.

ARGUNGU SERIES documentation/representations are an idea born out of self-tour Nigeria Project documentation of the need to engender positive propagation and promotion of the rich cultural artistic heritage of the Argungu Emirate of Kebbi State, Nigeria, for generational developmental consciousness in a sustainable manner.
It is important to acknowledge that visual documentation/ representations are very potent tools of communication. Information disseminated there from re- vibrates indelibly in the recipient sub- conscious perpetually.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The Series aims to:
1. Develop and present creative visual documentation of the cultural, traditional, social, and political evolution of the Argungu Emirate in Kebbi State, Nigeria, for current and future generations.

2. Establish a periodical to regularly share the cultural ideals of the Argungu Emirate with a global audience.

3. Create an exhibition and competition system to effectively achieve these goals.

4. Foster the identification, encouragement, and support of emerging creative talents in Argungu and Nigeria.

5. Set up a multipurpose center to facilitate these objectives, including working studios, galleries, language classrooms, a library, lodging facilities, recreational areas, and a performance art center for local and international exchanges.

6. Promote educational and cross-cultural exchange programs at both local and international levels through a dedicated funding system.

7. Build collaborative relationships with various governmental and non-governmental institutions, including academic organizations from primary to tertiary levels and corporate entities.

8. Focus on representing, promoting, and supporting Argungu/Nigeria’s arts and cultural heritage to enhance public awareness and education.
